This page explains how to permanently delete your Fynro account, what data is removed, and what we are required to keep. The process is offered by Fynro Advisory Services Private Limited, the developer of the Fynro app.

How to delete your account in the app

You can delete your account directly from within the Fynro app. Follow the steps below:

    Open the app and sign in

    Launch Fynro and log in with your existing credentials.

    Open your profile

    Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. Your profile screen will open.

    Tap “Edit”

    On the profile screen, tap the Edit option to open the profile editing screen.

    Scroll to the bottom

    Scroll down to the bottom of the edit screen, where you will find the “Delete Account” option.

    Confirm deletion

    Tap “Delete Account” and confirm your choice when prompted. Your request is submitted immediately.

Alternative — request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app or have already uninstalled it, you can email us to request deletion of your account and associated data.

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Include the email address or phone number associated with your Fynro account so we can verify your identity. We will respond and confirm deletion within 30 days.

What data is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, the following types of data tied to your account are permanently removed from our active systems:

Personal information
Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, PAN/identification details, and address.
Financial information
Bank account details, investment portfolio, mutual fund holdings, asset and liability data, and transaction history linked to your account.
Account credentials
Username, password hash, and any linked OAuth identifiers.
App activity
Usage history, in-app actions, preferences, and personalization data linked to your account.
Device identifiers
Device IDs and push notification tokens associated with your account.

What data is kept, and for how long

Some data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion, where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, security, financial record-keeping, and dispute resolution.

Retained data and retention periods

  • Transaction and financial records — retained for up to 8 years to comply with Indian tax, SEBI, and financial regulations.
  • KYC and identification records — retained for up to 5 years after account closure, as required under PMLA and applicable RBI/SEBI rules.
  • Fraud and security logs — retained for up to 12 months to protect Fynro and its users from abuse.
  • Anonymized analytics — aggregated data with no link to your identity may be retained indefinitely.
  • Backups — residual copies in encrypted backup systems are overwritten according to our backup cycle, typically within 90 days.

After these retention periods expire, the data is deleted or fully anonymized.

Processing time

In-app deletion requests are processed immediately. Email requests are completed within 30 days of verification. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered — you will need to create a new account if you wish to use Fynro again.
